It is mechanically clutchless, increasing the speed of the motor on the way down. Comparatively, almost as fast as you can freely drop your anchor. Other winch brands go up as fast as they go down, this draws more power which can lead to overloading, battery drain and winch failure. Regardless, the Savwinch Fast Fall system releases the anchor significantly faster than any other fixed boat winch.

Our EFF Electronic Fast Fall System can also be retrofitted to almost any Savwinch! Our EFF units are simply connected between the battery and the winch.

The EFF Electronic Fast Fall system can help your Savwinch drum winch reach speeds of well over 100 m per minute (depending on the model of winch it is attached to).
